What decides your final quote
The price card covers typical projects. The final quote follows the measuring effort. Four things drive it: how many trades are measured, whether MEP services are included, how large and clean the drawing set is, and whether you want the BOQ priced or as quantities only.

BOQ preparation charges in India: what others report
Most BOQ services in India do not publish a price and quote on WhatsApp after seeing the drawings. These are the figures that are publicly listed, as reported by each source on 29 September 2026. Scope differs between providers, so compare what is delivered, not just the headline number.

Architects usually do not bill a BOQ separately. The Council of Architecture's Guidelines for Architectural Services & Fees place the “schedule of quantities” inside the architect's basic fee at the tender stage, and treat detailed cost estimates and quantity surveys as an additional service. If your architect's scope already covers the BOQ, ask for it before paying anyone else.
Is a paid BOQ worth it for a house?
Compare the fee with what it measures. A 1,500 sq ft house at ₹2,000 per sq ft costs ₹30 lakh to build; a ₹10,000 full BOQ is about 0.3% of that. What you get for it is a quantity for every item, so you can check a contractor's quote line by line instead of accepting a single per-sq-ft figure. What we do not do
- We measure from drawings only. There is no site visit, so work that is not drawn (site levelling, existing structures to demolish) is listed as an assumption, not measured.
- The BOQ is only as complete as the drawing set. Missing sections or schedules are flagged in the assumptions list; you can send them and we update the quantities.
- Rates from DSR, an SOR or the market are a pricing basis, not a contractor's quote. Use the BOQ to invite and compare quotes.
